The Struggle Vererans Action Committee nominated the long - imprisoned leader of the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) Abdullah Ocalan for the first International Peace Award at a prestigious event held recently
The President of Hamas in the occupied Palestian territory and the late Yasser Arafat recieved a joint award which was received by Moulana Iegshaan Hendricks President of the Muslim Judicial Council.

Ocalan: Final decision will come in June
Abdullah Ocalan
Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan says he is in favor of disarmament in principle as long as legal-constitutional safeguards are provided. Regarding the extension of unilateral ceasefire he also added that Although we will have a serious evaluation in March the final decision will be in June.
